DAVE'S PROFILE
Elected Experience: I am a first-time candidate, however, I have experience serving Grant County as your appointed engineer, this has given me a good understanding of County processes.
Other Professional Experience: Currently, I serve Grant County as the Road Engineer. I am a WA State Licensed Professional Engineer with 29-years of public and private civil engineering practice.
Education: Master’s degree in civil engineering, bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, and US Army Reserve 12B Combat Engineer AIT 1990.
Community Service: I am a strong advocate for STEM education and Trades Apprenticeship. I have mentored well over (100) students into engineering careers and I am very proud of them.
Statement: I have the experience and knowledge to be a strong voice and advocate for District 1. I will defend rural values and stay focused on budget accountability to the taxpayer. In addition, I will promote strategic planning for all departments and seek practical improvements in County processes. I will also promote compassion, understanding, and respect among staff and the community.

Positive Local Government: As the County Road Engineer, I have observed that your County Government is brimming with very good people, providing essential services, and making practical use of limited resources. I believe we can build on this good foundation, to make it even stronger. I ask for your vote, so I can work for you in a new role, as your District 1 Commissioner.
